Simply put — Nils Grevillius represents something nearly extinct: the blunt, old-school detective who tells it like it is, bred from a healthy distrust of institutions, government, and… well, people of all kinds.
For three decades he has defied gravity by doing what your government dismisses as “impossible.” A surveillance team that is invisible, an informant network that reaches around the globe, and the secrets of clients kept permanently.
Early Life
Born to progressive intellectuals — a father who infiltrated the KKK for Daisy Bates and the Little Rock NAACP, and a prep school mother who worked as a self-employed criminal lawyer.
Army
Dropped out of the Ivy League before he started and enlisted at 17. Served on the Korean DMZ, then in clandestine Army counterintelligence.
Pinkerton
Recruited into the Pinkerton Agency as a private agent — close protection, surveillance, asset recovery, and deep undercover work for institutional, aerospace, and government clients.
Independent Practice
In the wake of the 1992 Rodney King riots, formed his own detective practice, modeled on the one Allan Pinkerton built in 1850s Chicago — protecting trusts, institutions, and individuals from loss.
Hollywood & Wonderland
As a private detective he has recovered missing people, bodies, and stolen money while exposing corruption in Hollywood and the film industry — including work on the Wonderland Murder investigation.
Today
In a world of “narratives” and brainwashing algorithms, Nils is quickly becoming a trusted “Go To” commentator for podcasters and newscasters alike — and is the author of The Last Lawman: True Stories of a Private Detective.
